It is jointly nominated with “Yingge Old Street” as the two heavyweights’ promoters of ceramic-related culture. The Ceramics Museum is situated on the bustling Wenhua Rd., using a span of exposed concrete wall as entrance to resemble its isolation from the hustle and bustle of the outside world and subtly inferring its quiet atmosphere within. There are two stories below ground and three stories above, all exhibiting the kilning culture of the past 200 years in Taiwan. There are professional pottery workshops and pottery hands on DIY in the museum. In addition, there are green spaces and installation arts at the back of the museum, along with a pool area open to kids during the summer. It is a place of fun for parents and children. Besides looking at the museum collections, one could also visit the “Sanyin Heart Space Arts District” for large ceramic art landscaping. 望龍埤包車自由行 又名軟埤，位在宜蘭縣員山鄉枕山村湖山國小後處。 宜蘭員山枕山村，早在數百多年前即因為地形山洪爆發、土石沖刷，在目前大礁溪山麓，自然行成一座湖泊，面積約四至五公頃；因該湖屬於山中湖泊，海拔較高，湖水水位是隨著雨水量升降，因此湖中水量與當地居民生活息息相關，地方耆老則依「風從虎」、「雲從龍」之古諺，而取該湖名為「望龍」，祈求雲雨滋生，造福蒼生。 及至民國七十年代，水位降低、水源枯竭，乃至乾涸，以致湖底雜草叢生。民國九十年起，枕山休閒農業區成立以後，經地方士紳建議，希望能讓望龍埤恢復昔日風采；在農委會水土保持局、 宜蘭農田水利會及各界人士的共同努力下，從設計施工、規劃督導、斥資經費等，共同挖除埤內積沉泥土，修築埤岸，增建九曲橋、興建環湖步道、涼亭、島嶼，廣植樹木，設置停車場，引取大礁溪之水，施放原生魚類，使「望龍埤」恢復原有生機，亦成為員山鄉休閒觀光的最佳去處。<資料來源：望龍埤誌> 碧綠的湖中有座小島，島上建置一座涼亭，名為「望龍亭」，坐在亭裡感受涼風輕拂，是炎夏裡最佳的享受，別有一番詩意。環繞望龍埤四周的環湖步道，及通往山頂的登山步道，沁涼舒適，適合全家大小健行休閒的好去處，步道沿途視野極佳，高處可俯瞰望龍埤的美貌，還有徐徐微風吹拂，讓人心曠神宜，流連忘返。 Wanglongpi Because flash floods and stone wash in hundreds of years ago, there is a lake about four to five halves at Jiaoxi mountain. 太平山國家森林公園(翠峰湖)包車自由行早在伐木時期，甚至其作業地仍在多望溪流域之際、羅東林鐵出現之前，太平山藉著其本身的雲海幻景、日出奇觀等天然景觀，早已成為台灣十二勝景之一，林鐵通車之後，登山客日增。當時太平山地區已成為主要風景點的有多望溪、鳩之澤（即鳩之澤溫泉）、鐵線橋（海拔1538m）、太平山、源（海拔1980m）、穆魯羅亞滬（海拔2318m）等，其中土場、太平山、栂之尾、見晴等地設有宿泊所可投宿。行程由台北出發則有三或四天旅程[1]。由此顯示，太平山早已是馳名四方的旅遊勝地了。戰後，登山人口不減反增，尤其膾炙人口的山地蹦蹦車、索道流籠，更是引人入勝，一到週末、假日，原本寧靜的山區立即變得熱鬧無比。平常每日上下午各開一班車的山地交通為應付如潮水般的遊客，不得不加開班車，造成員工工作量大增，員工怨聲四起，大大影響了原本正常的生產與運材作業。太平山地區：共設四條步道，見晴自然步道、鐵杉林國家步道、茂興懷古步道、三疊瀑布自然步道。早期僅有三疊瀑布自然步道，2002年起迄今已完成見晴自然步道、鐵杉林國家步道、茂興懷古步道等，並將原本的三疊瀑布自然步道升格為國家步道。翠峰湖地區：共設三條步道，翠峰湖國家步道、平元自然步道、山毛櫸國家步道。早期僅有翠峰湖木棧道，民國91年起迄今已完成山毛櫸國家步道、翠峰湖國家步道等，並將原本的翠峰湖木棧道往內延伸，易名平元自然步道。Cueifong LakeCueifong Lake is situated between Taipingshan and Tayuan Mountain at elevation 1,840 m. Its largest area can reach 25 hectares in rain season and Cueifong Lake is also the largest high mountain lake in Taiwan. Cueifong Lake Circular Trail is built on the old tracks of forest railway and is about 40-minute drive from Taipingshan Villa. The entrance of the trail is at 15.5 k of Cueifong Scenic Road. The trail starts from the slope on the west side of Cueifong Lake, then circumvents north of the lake and intersects the Pingyuan Nature Trail on the east of lake, just like two arms embracing a sapphire. The total length of Cueifong Lake Circular Trail is 3.95 km and the elevations are between 1,900-2,000 m. Visitors can appreciate the different views of Cueifong Lake in four seasons. Since this trail is deserted most of the time and the surface of trail are well protected by ground cover plants, mosses and forest floor, it still keeps the original outlook of tens of thousands years ago. By the way, the whole trail is built by ecological engineering method to keep intact the habitat and environment.
