Planning for the museum began in 1991, and the museum itself was opened on 25 February 2000. In addition to the museum, the park surrounding the museum is an outdoor water park (the largest in Taiwan). The total area of the park is 96.81 hectares (968,100 m2), while the museum itself covers 35.81 hectares (358,100 m2). The museum has three main exhibits: Waters of Taiwan, Coral Kingdom Pavilion and World Waters Pavilion. The museum also has an 81-metre (266 ft) underwater moving track, the largest underwater tunnel in Asia. 墾丁包車旅遊-船帆石
船帆石包車自由行在海岸珊瑚礁前緣，可見到一巨石矗立於海中，遠望似艘即將啟碇的帆船，因而得名，近看則像美國前總統尼克森的頭部令人發笑。船帆石高約18公尺，係由附近台地上方滾落至海邊的舊期珊瑚礁石，因其岩質較附近之初期隆起珊瑚礁堅硬，故能長期屹立海中，由台地上方可見到它巨大的珊瑚礁岩即為明證。Chuanfan RockIt is in front of the ocean coral reef. You can see a giant rock standing in the sea. To investigate from the distance, it is like ship that set a sail. Therefore, it has the name Chuanfan Rock, it means the sailboat in Chinese. If you take a close look, you can see the rock looks like the former president Richard Nixon, which is quite interesting. The height of the rock is approximately 18 meters. It was the coral reef that falling from the table-land. 屏東包車旅遊-山川琉璃吊橋
山川琉璃吊橋包車自由行山川琉璃吊橋是連結三地門鄉三地村與瑪家鄉北葉村的吊橋，這座吊橋，不僅僅為往來交通，也展現當地原住民文化與歷史，琉璃珠的意象裝置由在地藝術大師撒古流．巴瓦瓦隆設計，分別鑲嵌在橋上兩側及引道上計有32面故事牌，述說著部落動人故事。另外，吊橋兩端的入口意象，則由三地門地磨兒國小及瑪家北葉國小學生，以馬賽克藝術作品，裝置錨碇座牆面及擋土牆牆面，尤其兩端各設置一座巨石裝置藝術，以「蕃藷」、「芋仔」的意象，象徵族群融合。Shanchuan Glass BridgeShanchuan Glass Bridge connected to Sandimen Township and Majia Township. 屏東包車旅遊-原住民文化園區
原住民文化園區包車自由行「台灣原住民文化園區」位於屏東縣瑪家鄉北葉村，原為瑪家山地文化村，處於三地門、瑪家、霧台等3個原住民鄉對外交通之樞紐地帶，距屏東市僅24公里，交通便利，附近均為排灣、魯凱族群聚之村落，深具原住民文化特有氣息。園區成立於民國74年，佔地面積約82公頃，園內展示台灣原住民16族之文化，規劃成迎賓區、塔瑪麓灣區、娜麓區及富谷灣區。海拔145公尺至220公尺之間，地形頗為崎嶇，自然景觀極為俊美且富變化。 園區劃分為迎賓、塔馬路灣、娜麓灣和富谷灣四大參觀區。迎賓區位在園區入口，設有文物陳列室、工藝館、視廳館、八角樓特展館及解說服務中心。塔瑪路灣及富谷灣兩區皆以原住民傳統建築為展示對象，完整呈現聚落的風貌。娜麓灣區以動態表演為主，設有歌舞場，360度環形劇場及16族塑像的生活形態展示館，並設有「我們的教室」提供手工藝教學。園區建有登山步道，登高俯瞰整個園區，石板屋、竹屋、木屋等…高低錯落於綠林中，加上散置其間的山地雕刻，處處表露著原住民的傳統軌跡。Taiwan Aboriginal Culture ParkThe park is located at Beiye Village, Pingtung County. It was originally called the Majia Aboriginal Culture Village as it situated in the intersection of the three aboriginal townships of Sandimen, Majia, and Wutai. It is only 24 km away from Pingtung City, with convenient transportation. It contains both the Paiwan and Rukai tribes. The park was established in 1985, covering about 82 hectares and preserving aboriginal cultures of 16 tribes of Taiwan. It is divided into four areas: a welcoming area, Tamaluwan District, Naluwan District, and Fuguwan District. The altitude is between 145m and 220m; the landforms are rather rugged. Spectacular and diversified landscape to enjoy. The welcoming area is right at the entrance, with facilities displaying historic relics, a Handicrafts Hall, an Audio & Visual Hall, an octagon-shaped Special Exhibit Hall, and Information office.Both Tamaluwan and Fuguwan Districts exhibit their aboriginal traditional buildings and demonstrate the styles and cultural highlights of the tribe. In the Naluwan District, there is a place for performances of traditional dances and songs, a 360-degree circular theatre and the exhibition hall of the statues and lifestyles for 16 tribes. Classes are provided for hands-on work of aboriginal handcrafts. Following the hiking path up, you will see the whole picture of slate house, bamboo house and wooden lodge cabin situating among the green trees.
