日潭風景區
位於臺灣南投縣魚池鄉日月村 ,為日潭與月潭之合稱,因其雙潭水色各異而得名。是臺灣第二大湖泊 (僅次於曾文水庫 )及第一大(半)天然湖泊兼發電水庫 。湖面海拔748公尺,常態面積7.93平方公里(滿水位8.4平方公里),最大水深27公尺,自然生態豐富,但亦為最多外來種生物的淡水湖泊 之一。
日月潭景色優美,「雙潭秋月」為臺灣八景之一。日月潭也是臺灣原住民邵族的居住地,生活在潭水四周的族人稱其為「水社海」。由於過去平埔族稱居住於山裡的原住民為「沙連」,而內山以日月潭一區為最大的積水盆地,故日月潭舊稱又為水沙連,此外,尚有「水社大湖」、「龍湖」、「珠潭」、「雙潭」等名稱。
Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area
Sun Moon lake is at Jhongshan Rd., Yuchi Township, Nantou County. The name is from both of sun lake and moon lake, and it is famous for its different colors between these two lakes. It is the second biggest lake in Taiwan, and the biggest semi-natural lake with Hydroelectric power. Sun Moon Lake is located 748 m (2,454 ft) above sea level. It is 27 m (89 ft) deep and has a surface area of approximately 7.93 km2 (3.06 sq mi) Ecological landscape is rich and it is one of the fresh water lake that has the most exotic species.
Sun Moon lake is one of magnificent scenic spot in the Taiwan. It is also the place of the residents from the aboriginal of Thao tribe. They live around the lake and call it “Shui-she hai”. Due to the Pingpu tribe call the aboriginals who live in the mountain “Shuishalian” and it is a biggest lake in the mountains, so it used to be called “Shuishalian”.
集集車站
位於台灣南投縣集集鎮,為臺灣鐵路管理局集集線的鐵路車站,不僅是集集鎮民的對外門戶,也是全線最多人造訪的車站,為南投縣著名觀光旅遊勝地,設有集集鐵路文物博覽館。
Jiji Railway Station
Jiji is a railway station on the Taiwan Railways Administration Jiji line located in Jiji Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. It is the most popular station from the route. It is a well-known scenic spot in Nantou. It also has a railway museum there.
車埕車站
位於台灣南投縣水里鄉車埕村,為臺灣鐵路管理局集集線的鐵路車站。昔日埔里糖廠於1916年始以台車運送糖到車埕車站將生產的糖運出,在車埕車站前有許多台車停放,站名因此而來。
Checheng Train Station
Checheng is a railway station on the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) Jiji line located in Shueili Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. Cheng in Taiwanese means field. When 1916, they deliver sugar through the train, so there are many trains parked at the field, that’s why it named Checheng.
